Hmm, after watching this episode I can only say this. These events fix everything to the right place in order to fix the abomination of original novel. And the best thing is that pointless events in Freedom/Sin city can be avoided completely (seriously, if they went with that, it is about of 40 episodes most insufferable broken content ever)

- Old guy is still grand grandfather of the little princess aka. Old emperor
- He and little princess are in good relations, so there is no need for pointless hostage situation as well as it cuts out whole shitload of annoyance and repetitive events
- Ruoshi being cut out and replaced with princess with marriage events solved peacefully. Ruoshi was pointless trash character with WTF conclusion anyway. In order to prevent her wedding he caused turmoil in Chu which forced him to escape and take little princess as hostage. This led to Freedom/Sin city and whole lot of pointless/boring/repetitve/dumb/idiotic events. And Chu escape also played 0 role, they kept whole thing quiet to retain face and old ancestor forbid them to touch him anyway. He can just leave peacefully now and that is it
- Bow is lost temporarily (in the abomination hell of the novel, bow is taken from him while escaping Chu for Freedom/Sin city and he reaches new continent without it)
- Little dragon is confirmed as holy dragon able to access holy level magic (kind of strange dragon though... western dragons spirit skill is represented as eastern dragon 0.0'???). In novel he gets it just before being transferred to new continent, except that dragon is fully grown.. with minor brain problems where his state is child like. It was a nice exposure of this due to lack of bow
- MC is not perpetual wuss/doormat like in novel

All I can say is... damn awesome job from person who moderated the story for animation. Awesome story from pure trash. If they will really skip straight to new continent from here like clues point to, it is a fucking win

I think I still prefer the version of this fight that was in the trailers, where he used the bow🌟✨.
Anyway I'm so surprised little princess let the old man take him unsupervised, while he is unconscious. Nothing good can come from that!🤔😔😔😱😱

Well, no matter which one, anything is better than original from novel. While animation story is engaging, novel is god damn crime. I dropped it soon after freedom/sin city.

I actually got whole new respect for this version. Only bad thing about animation is that with current progress and if it follows the path... will end in somewhat 20+ years.

To say it is bad and 1/10 is a god damn huge understatement of how bad it really is. And that is after I went into it with knowledge it is the same author as "Perfect world". PW at least had story and decent MC, it was just bad, bad writing that took it down, Whole thing was written extremely poor like it was written by someone emotionally dead who lost his will and can't feel anything but boredom. This low is after starting with extremely low expectations

This one?... It goes to whole new levels. It is like author was on the verge of suicide because of depression and he decided he would like to share the joys of it before committing the act with as many people as possible

Seriously, everyone should stay away from that crap just to retain his normal life. Characters are fucking annoying, that goes all the way from MC to bystanders. Like, if I describe little princess. Typical reaction of anyone who even heard of her after just hearing mention "Little pri...", he would drop on his knees with teary eyes and repeat mantra "Please don't see me, please don't see me, please don't see me, ...". Well, reaction from reader is probably the same, except mantra is "Please... stop, please... stop". MC is like a fucking whining/yapping doormat who with few exceptions gets beaten/blackmailed/cheated by everyone and more... somehow everyone pointlessly chases him for no reason (or reasons are so illogical they can't be understood). Well, it is enough to say everyone calls him "scum" and MC responds with "My surname is Chen" (hmmm,... correction... he responds like that every 100 or so insults, while the rest acts like he was called by his name and when people blackmail him for nonsensical reason, his action is "hmmm.... ok... (guess I have no choice)". Yet, all this fucking annoying side characters waste so pointless and repetitive events it drives you crazy

In more than 50 chapters (ultra long, mind it. one chapter is 3 chapters in other novels... or one can say that this is more than 1/2 of whole Jade Dynasty)
- Story makes 0 progression, hell... nothing even related to the story happened yet
- MC is still at the same cultivation as in ch.4 and there is 0 effort to improve
- MCs actions? Well... I'll put it in real life. He sees Burger at McDonalds, goes in, orders, waits, pays and just before the first bite he hears sound and looks outside... drops burger and runs out yelling "Ohhh, fried chicken", same thing with chicken and before bite he is disturbed again just to run out yelling "Ohhh, cake", skip few 10 dishes and then there is finally a night when he is disturbed by something and has to cancel eating and leave. Seriously, why the need for all that to get nowhere? Well, that's how events in this novel go.... long winded and after ton of shit, progress is 0 you just had to suffer long version of every single step of it
- Whole 50 chapters and events got 0 conclusions. It seems author got so much negative feedback, he just terminated and reset somewhere else. One might as well read events in the graveyard and first village, then skip to new continent. Sure, there will be some missing points, but it will be far less than suffering through the bad writing. Animation kind of already does this, all the changes point to where Freedom/Sin city is not even necessary after leaving Chu (he already has dragon... and that is all that happened and it is relevant, he is on good terms with princess... so whole bible of keeping her hostage is not possible)

It is easy to see how bad it is if I point out some pearls of authors annotations where it is obvious this was due to annoyed readers and bad feedback

Somewhere around chapter 50.
"Well, I admit that I am evil, and keep torturing the protagonist and tormenting everyone's spirits. (Actually, I didn't at all, I whispered...) Uh, the unlucky protagonist still has a chapter or two of bad luck, and then he was transported"

And after that in new continent? Well, 10 chapters of completely pointless and boring memories, 0 advance and me dropping it.

Next time I see novel from this author... I'm buying grass seeds instead, planting them and watching grass grow is a full on action compared to his writing (which actually makes sense). Watching gold fish in a bowl would be too much action after this novel and I doubt my heart could take it.
